China is about to create history by attempting to do the first even soft landing on the far side of the moon.

The China National Space Administration (CNSA) will land the probe at the South Pole-Aitken Basin.

The Dark Side of the moon gets its name because the moon is tidal-locked with Earth, which means the we only see one side of the moon, while the other (far) side remains hidden (dark).

The mission, named Chang’e 4, is part of the ambitious Chinese space program known as the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program (CLEP).

Where to watch the Chang’e 4 moon landing live?

The live telecast of the probe as it tries to do a soft landing will be broadcast live on CGTN.
